RIE is a network that spreads and supports the concept of ecovillage and sustainable settlement. It relates, connects and brings closer ecovillages of the Iberian Peninsula, already existing or to be created, and/or associations and people with the same aims, it facilitates the exchange of resources and information, and promotes activities. For the past 20 years, each summer RIE organizes an Ecovillages Meeting, a place to share and get to know an ecovillage from the inside, and meet people that are in this same path.
